Itinerary

Arrival at Rabat airport, welcome and transport to Fes, where you will have supper and stay overnight.

Today, after a hearty Moroccan breakfast, you will have the day free to explore this magnificent city, the oldest, wealthiest, cultural, religious, spiritual, and mystical of Morocco's four royal capitals, where most of it has remained untouched by time.

The following are the perspectives that characterize Fes:

Chouara Tannery is the largest and most well-known of the four ancient tanneries that remain in the heart of Fez's medina.

The most significant and one of the largest architectural complexes in the city is the Karaouine Mosque.

Bab Boujloud; the most significant entrance to the Medina, the city's oldest and most beautiful.

Although the 14th-century Royal Palace cannot be seen inside, it is worth going to ponder its seven gates.

Moulay Idriss Mausoleum: A shrine dedicated to Moulay Idriss, king of Morocco from 807 to 828 and one of the city's founders.

Seffarine Square: Located in the center of the Medina, this square is home to one of Fez's oldest professions: metalworkers.

Madrassas; Old Koranic schools that occasionally house resident students; there are three in Fez; the only one open to the public is the Medersa Cherratine, which is distinguished from the others by its functional style that is slightly ornate.

Dinner and accommodation are included.

We leave after a hearty breakfast for Rissani, where we will see the market and its renowned donkey parking lot. It is a unique location where all of the desert's tribes and nomads congregate to stock up on supplies. After Rissani, we'll go to Erfoud, where we'll visit one of the fossil workshops, where we'll see specimens dating all the way back to 380 million years ago. We'll continue on to the renowned Todra Gorge, a favorite of rock climbers and trekkers alike. Our trip concludes at the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation are included.

We'll take the "Route of the Thousand Kasbahs" to the Dades Valley. We'll travel through the Valley of the Roses, where locals make lotions, soaps, and rose water from the region's many Damascus Roses. The road is bordered with adobe kasbahs and winds beside the river, creating a very beautiful area. We will travel via Ouarzazate and see the renowned Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou as the scenery changes (declared a World heritage site by UNESCO). Numerous films have been shot in this magnificent site, including The Gladiator, Obelix, and Western Sahara, starring Penelope Cruz. Our trip next ascends through the High Atlas Mountains, over the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2.260m in elevation), and descends into the lowlands and the red city of Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation are included.

Today is your free day to explore this beautiful city on your own: here are some of the city's most fascinating attractions:

The Menara Grounds are a reflection of the Muslim Paradise on earth. This tranquil park is ideal for strolling and its beauty is concentrated in the center region surrounding a large artificial pond. According to tradition, the sultans frequented these gardens for dating.

The Saadian Tombs, one of Marrakech's most popular attractions, opened to the public in 1917, the year they were found. Within the same garden, more than 100 mosaic-adorned graves include the remains of Saadian dynasty slaves and soldiers.

The Bahia Palace is a palace and gardens designed to be the largest palace of all time and the home of the previous Vizier. It has a courtyard with a central basin and apartments around it.

The Koutoubia Mosque; one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, it stands out due to its 69-metre-tall minaret, making it the city's tallest structure and most recognized landmark.

Djemaa El Fna Square; its vast proportions will astound you, despite its location in the heart of the Medina, surrounded by a labyrinth of tiny alleys and lanes. You'll also be amazed when the plaza transforms from a magnificent souk during the day and into a swarm of food booths at night, with people congregating for supper and lodging.

Transfer to the airport at the scheduled departure time and conclusion of our vacation and services.
