Our  Casablanca Morocco Tours will take you to some of the most beautiful parts of Morocco. You will travel to Meknes and Fes, the King Cities. Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat :.

Today we pick you up for the start of your 15-day round trip from Casablanca. First of all, we visit the Hassan II mosque. This is the largest mosque outside Mecca. After this visit, we depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel / Riad.

Day 2 : Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fes :.

After breakfast, we first visit the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. Then we travel on to Fes. The route goes through Meknes and Volubilis. In Meknes, one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, we visit the famous Bab Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani basin and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch we continue our journey to Volubilis, the ruins of a Roman settlement, dating back to the 3rd century B.C. Some of the original mosaics are very well preserved. We then drive through the foothills of the Rif Mountains until we reach Fes in the late afternoon. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3 : Discover Fes :.

First you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then you will wander through the oldest city in Morocco under the guidance of a (local) guide. You will walk through alleys and small streets full of life. You will see cultural and historical sights of Fes, such as the Royal Palace Gate. But also the Jewish Quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco in the 16th century. The Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. And of course the famous tanneries. After lunch, visit a mosaic cooperative. Overnight on the basis of bed and breakfast.

Day 4 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz valley - Merzouga :.

After breakfast we leave Fes and continue our tour. Our final destination for today is Merzouga. We drive through Midelt and the Ziz valley. We pass the village of Ifrane, a beautiful mountain village in the Middle Atlas Mountains and known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Along the way, you will enjoy the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. We stop in Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest. This is where the Berber monkeys live. The journey continues to Midelt along the beautiful hills and mountains of the Atlas and over the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass. You will notice how the landscape changes as we approach the desert and the city of Errachidia. We then continue our journey through the lush Ziz Valley, stopping along the way for panoramic views to Erfoud and Rissani. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking into your hotel/Riad for dinner and overnight stay. .

Day 5 : Merzouga Desert and camel ride :.

After breakfast, it’s time to explore the area. The desert is one of the highlights of this 15-day tour from Casablanca. We will visit the Gnawa people, originally from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. We will also visit a nomadic house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. In the late afternoon, your dromedary awaits for a trek through the golden sands of the Erg Chebbi desert. Of course accompanied by an experienced guide. After you have seen the beautiful sunset, you will return and be transferred by 4 x 4 to our luxury tent camp in the sauvage desert. Day 6 : Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley :.

First enjoy the sumptuous breakfast in the tented camp, then depart for Rissani, Tinghir and the Todra Gorge. This is the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After visiting the Todra Gorge, we drive through the Dades Valley. There you will see majestic Kasbahs – traditional sand castles – and the beautiful rock formations known as the “monkey toes”. Overnight and dinner in hotel / Riad.

Day 7 : Dades Gorge - Bouthaghrar - Skoura - Ouarzazate :.

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel further through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley is called “the road of a thousand kasbahs”. It is a beautiful route with plenty of opportunities to take great pictures. Today you will also have the opportunity to meet Berber nomads in their caves. We stop in Kalaat M’gouna, the rose city. Here you can buy rose water and rose oil. We continue to Skoura and visit the well-preserved Kasbah Ameridil. There is an opportunity to have lunch in a restaurant with a view of the entire valley. After lunch we arrive in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa”. Here is the studio with props used in famous movies, such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last Temptation of Christ. Day 8 :Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Imlil :.

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel through the spectacular Tizi ‘nTichka pass to Asni and Imlil. But first we stop at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The largest Kasbah in Morocco was built in the late 19th century by one of the last Berber chieftains. It was an important stop on the trade routes to Timbuktu in Mali. Today many members of the Glaoui family still live in the Kasbah. After a short visit to the Kasbah, the journey continues to Asni and Imlil, villages in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Day 9 :Surroundings Arumd and Imlil :.

After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy the Berber culture. You have the choice to hike for a few hours in the valley. And you will experience a fascinating view from the highest mountain in North Africa. You will hike to the village of Arumd, a small Berber settlement with a proud culture. Day 10 : Imlil - Tahnaout - Marrakech :.

After breakfast we prepare for departure to Marrakech. We drive through the Berber village of Tahnaout and the fascinating gorge of Moulay Brahim. Along the way there are several stops to take pictures. At a leisurely pace we continue the journey to Marrakech. In Marrakech we will have a look at the Majorelle Gardens before checking into the hotel / Riad. Then there is plenty of time to take a stroll around the famous Jemaa El Fna square on your own. The atmospheric square features a motley crew of magicians, storytellers, musicians and snake charmers. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 11 : Explore Marrakech :.

After breakfast, explore Marrakech, the “red city of Morocco” with a (local) guide. We will make sure you see the main sights of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs, the palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School, and the souks. In the afternoon, you have free time to wander through Marrakech on your own. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 12 : Marrakech - Essaouira :.

After breakfast we depart for the coastal town of Essaouira. After arrival, you will explore the city on your own.
You will discover the Skala fortress, the port, the souks. You will also get to know Essaouira’s specialization, the processing and carving of Thuya wood by artisans. You will walk through the alleys of the medina and past the hundreds of crafts. You wander through the Mellah – the Jewish headquarters. Or you can get a breath of fresh air on the wide, vast and golden sandy beach. Essaouira is known for its strong winds and is also called the “City of Winds”. Surfers from all over the world come to this place. Essaouira has experienced many civilizations – including the Portuguese occupation – which have had a great influence on its architecture. It is a small town with a great history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also considered Morocco’s Jewel of the Atlantic. Day 13 : Essouaira - Walidia (Oualidia) - El Jadida :.

Today after breakfast we leave for Walidia. We take the beautiful coastal road along the Atlantic Ocean. The town is located between El Jadida and Safi. It has a beautiful lagoon of 12 km long that is considered one of the most beautiful lagoons in Morocco. The combination of the sea, the sand and the sun creates a light that is a feast for the eyes. After visiting the remains of the Kasbah, you will have the opportunity for lunch. After lunch, we will depart for El Jadida. Overnight stay in El Jadida.

Day 14 : El Jadida - Casablanca :.

El Jadida is a nice port town on the Atlantic coast. It was built in the early 16th century as a fortified colony. The castle with its bastions are an example of this. In 2004, the historic center was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List. After breakfast you are free to explore the city. Day 2 : Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fes :.

Departure to Fes. The road to Fes takes us past a beautiful stretch of farmland where olives, grain, vegetables and grapes are grown. Before arriving in Fes you will visit Meknes and Volubilis. Volubilis is the site of the famous Roman ruins that remain of the southernmost outpost of the Roman Empire. Meknes is the site of the first Arab dynasty founded by Moulay Ismail and has the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, the gateway to Moulay Ismail’s palace. This leads us to the Henri es-Souani, the horse stable and the granaries. Upstairs is a roof garden and café with a beautiful view of the city. Arrival in Fes, check into the hotel.

Day 3 : Full day to visit Fes:.

After breakfast, begin your visit to Fes “the oldest living Medina in the world” with a local official guide. You will tour the Medina with its “souks” (markets), stop at the gate of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and the University. You will also visit the tomb of the founder of the city “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch will be taken in one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch you will continue with a visit to the Najarine fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

Day 4 : Fes - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen - Fes :.

After breakfast at your Riad or hotel around 8am, we begin your day trip to Chefchaouen (blue city), a popular tourist attraction of Morocco and welcoming city located in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coast in northwestern Morocco. This beautiful blue city is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a stroll to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native crafts. Chefchaouen is a great destination for photography with its stunning views of the Rif Mountains. Return to Fez in the afternoon. We expect to arrive in Fez around 7pm.

Day 5 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz valley - Erfoud - Merzouga :.

After breakfast we set off for Merzouga. We cross the Atlas Mountains and via Ifrane we reach the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be a good opportunity to take pictures of the wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village Zaida. We continue our way through the Atlas Mountains and enjoy the landscapes of Medilt to arrive at the town of Rich, Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the Sahara oasis of Tafilalet, then continue to Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 6 : Merzouga - Berber families - Black Desert - Merzouga (Camel ride & Night in the Sahara) :.

After breakfast at the hotel, your exploration of the desert begins. You will visit the village of Khamlia, originally slaves from Sudan to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away is Lake Merzouga, with its bird populations, including flamingos. You may also want to visit the nomadic wire house where many Berber handicrafts are cheaper than in the big cities. In the afternoon, you will explore the mysterious sand sea of the Erg-Chebbi on a camel, accompanied by an experienced camel man. Here you will spend your first night under the stars, or if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will spend the night. Dinner, overnight and breakfast.

Day 7 : Merzouga - Errissani - Jorf - Todra Gorges - Dades - Ouarzazate :.

After breakfast at the hotel we will drive through the Dades Valley in the direction of Kalaa M’guna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley is the route of a thousand kasbahs, providing many opportunities to take some of the best photos of the entire trip. We will stop in Kalaa Mguna, the “pink town” to buy rose water that will make your laundry smell nice long after the trip is over. Continue on to Skoura and the Deard’s Valley; visit the kasbah of Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in the area. After lunch you will have some time for hiking in the valley and then continue on to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” whose geography and beautiful landscapes have attracted many world-class film producers. Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Kasba Ait Ben Haddou - Taroudant :.

After breakfast in your riad, we will travel to Taroudant via Taznacht, where we will visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest kasbah in Morocco. Built in the early 20th century by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs, the kasbah of Ben Haddou was one of his stops during his long journey from Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Further on to Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco, you have the opportunity to visit the Saffron Cooperative. If your visit coincides with the saffron harvest, you will have the opportunity to meet the Berbers with their families harvesting saffron in their fields. We will arrive in Taroudant in the afternoon, here you will see the ramparts and walk through the small streets of Medina. Taroudant is always called “little Marrakech” because it was built by the Saadid dynasty, who used it as their capital before moving to Marrakech in the 16th century.

Day 9 : Taroudant - Agadir - Essaouira:.

Have breakfast in the riad and then depart for Essaouira, following through Agadir. Our first stop will be in Agadir, a resort city that has been a very popular tourist destination for many years. After lunch and a short walk along the waterfront, you will continue on to Essaouira. The coastal road offers beautiful scenery, an area known for its argan trees. Here you will see herds of goats climbing the argan trees in search of better food than they can find on land. After several stops along the coast in the afternoon we will reach Essaouira. Overnight stay in one of the riads in Medina.

Day 10 : Exploring Essaouira:.

Breakfast at the hotel in Essaouira and then we will begin our exploratory journey through the city. You will visit the Fortress of the Rock; see a thuya tree carved by artisans; stroll through the lanes of the medina and see hundreds of handicrafts. Today you will have a Moroccan-style lunch of freshly purchased fish “cooked to order.” After lunch you will have free time to wander the city, go to the beach and enjoy your free time. Essaouira is also called the “city of the wind,” and it attracts surfers from all over the world. Essaouira has known many civilizations – including Portuguese occupation, which is reflected in much of its architecture – but it remains a small village with a long history. Because of its size and its distinctive blue doors and washed-out walls, it is also considered a Moroccan “pearl of the Atlantic.” It hosts an annual festival of “Gnawa music,” which attracts numerous musical groups from all over Africa and the world. It usually starts in the second week of June.
