Excursion to the Ourika Valley from Marrakech Itinerary:

A Day Trip To Ourika Valley From Marrakech may include the opportunity to see a weekly Berber market (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays), which is fascinating for its rural life and commerce. You’re likely to be the only visitor there if you visit during the off-season, but it’s a worthwhile experience and arguably the most unusual thing within a two-hour flight from a European nation. The berber markets are usually split into areas for meat, vegetables, dry goods, clothing, stationary, barbers, animals, donkeys, and used items, along with the vivid colors and odors associated with a weekly Berber market in a Berber hamlet such as Asni or Amezmize.

Your Ourika Marrakech Excursion begins at 9:00 a.m. from your Marrakech hotel. After a short journey from Marrakech towards the Atlas Mountains’ foothills. We’ll follow the route that runs beside the Ourika waterfalls valley and then enter via a series of clinging mountain towns. As we go over the hillsides, we will pause to see magnificent vistas bursting with bright colors. Our first visit will be a typical Berber home in the valley. The family often opens their house to guests who want to take in the scenery; they offer us tea and give us their traditional meal of bread, honey, butter, and olive oil. Ourika day excursion from Marrakech includes a half-hour camel ride further into the valley. Later in the trip, we’ll proceed to Setti Fatma, a popular weekend getaway for many Moroccans. It is well regarded for its magnificent streams and seven waterfalls, as well as for its stunning cliffs and lush valleys. You’ll see an area that maintains a medieval agricultural heritage. Walk around the Ourika valley, photographing the views of lush terraces encircling the Atlas mountains, then climb to the first waterfall with a local guide. Following the walk, we return to a lovely restaurant with a magnificent view of the mountains for lunch. Lunch will consist of a range of Moroccan cuisine (Vegetarians are welcome). Then, at about 5:00 p.m., we return to Marrakech.
