Day 1 : Marrakech » Atlas Mountains » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Roses & Dades Valley (315 Km)

Our Group Desert Tours Marrakech Start With Departure from the hotel in Marrakech at 8 am and drive to the High Atlas, the mountains of the South of the Moroccan Atlas, through the port of Tizi N’Tichka with stops for panoramic views and photos of small Berber villages that are masked in the landscape. Then we will continue south to the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986). Famous films including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Pearl of the Nile, The Sahara with Penelope Cruz… were filmed in this spectacular scene. et al. Free time for lunch in town. Then we will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Gate of the Desert,” which means “silent or no mess” in Berber. Here we will see the Taurirt kasbah, one of the most impressive kasbahs in Morocco. The next place to visit will be the Valley of the Roses, passing through the large palm grove of Skoura; a beautiful place to contemplate the more than 700,000 palm trees and the many kasbahs built in the surrounding area. Damascus roses are grown in this valley for cosmetic purposes, such as obtaining valuable rose water. An important museum of Moroccan culture, the Rose Festival is held here every May. Finally, we will reach the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Camel trekking and overnight stay in Berber camp (255 Km)

After breakfast, we will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Dades Valley from one of the strategic viewpoints in the mountains, where we can appreciate a large number of kasbahs and the picturesque features of each of them. A very good paved road leads up the valley from the town of Tinerhir to the gorge and then into the desert. After several stops along the way, we reach Todra Gorge. The scenery here is spectacular. The area is inhabited by locals who can be seen in their adobe villages. Because of their rocks with many uneven surfaces, these gorges are popular among rock climbers. After a short walk in the Todra Gorges, you will have free time for lunch in Tinejada or Turugha, and then we will continue our journey into the desert to reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga. There we will take a one-hour camel ride to our nomadic camp located in the middle of the sea of dunes (Erg Chebbi). Before dinner we will admire the sunset on top of the dune and then sleep in our tent under the beautiful starry sky.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Very early in the morning, we will have a “Sunrise Date”. In the middle of the desert, waking up early is a “must-do” to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen, on top of a dune near the camp. Then we return to Merzouga on camels, where a delicious breakfast awaits us. After gaining strength, we begin our last day of travel through the arid pre-desert area, where we encounter acacia trees, a typical tree for these landscapes. On the way to the Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains, we will make several stops to enjoy beautiful views of the river that gave its name to the valley, Our trip continues passing through the Anti-Atlas. We will have some free time for lunch in the city, and after lunch, we will set off again for Marrakech and reach it around 8 pm.
